About the Artist

Hi! I'm Cecil, but I go by Cee. Black-Puerto Rican-West Indian, enjoyer of food, they/them pronouns. 

I am a Virginia-based artist who aims to tell stories and solve problems. I have a background in Art History, Graphic Design, UX, and Illustration. I work mainly through digital means, but I love to delve into painting, pencil, inks, crafting, and cloth.  

My mission is to create from the heart and the mind. I aim to tell my story and those of underrepresented communities. I am a queer artist of color, and as such, I want to tell the stories that may be pushed aside.

I am a first-generation child from an immigrant family. The arts in our house were expressed through food, song, oral tradition, and handmade crafts. I was always encouraged to create from my imagination, and I am forever thankful of this. I put my heart into everything I do. I don't think I know how to do otherwise! 

Since I'm a bit of a jack of all trades, if there is an apocalypse, I probably have materials you might need. Solder, leather, cotton, PVC pipe, yarn, electronic bits? Yeah, I have it.

I'm the only artist here! However, my plants keep me company, and my friends and family help by cheering me on.
